Week of June 8th
On the Wednesday of this week we had our fim festival. I thought the film festival from the previous year was way better since there was no repeats like this year. Other than that I feel like this years film festival was good.

This week we were cleared to make a film on noticing the signs of depression in order to help. We plan on filming this weekend and editing the upcoming week. I had the opportunity to go to the LAUSD Film Festival that I thought was phenomenal. I had the opportunity to meet Danny Woodburn as well so that was great :)

Week of April 3
During this week my group was able to interview two students successfully. Since our film is a documentary about the magnet students at Bell we interviewed Alexis Cuellar and Redani Diaz. It was quick and nicely done. It took us two days and we are planning to interview a few more magnet students after today.

What music means to me
Music means a lot to me. Once I saw a picture that said that when everything seems to be going wrong in life music is always there to save you and comfort you; it's totally true and I agree. For me music is kind of my way out of life. It lets you drift off into some kind of different dimension when you concentrate fully on the sounds and notes of the music. Everything I am experiencing or going through becomes meaningless when I put my headphones, lay down on my bed, click on the song I want to listen to, and just relax and let it take me away. I find music to be a great stress reliever, depending on the type of music you listen to of course. I really enjoy listening to the band Daughter and Fleet Foxes. In all honesty I don't have a favorite band. Maybe Daughter or the old albums of the Arctic Monkeys, but that's about it.

The most interesting person in the world!
One of the most interesting person I know if my cousin Alan. For some reason I never get tired of talking to him, especially when I have a problem I need to solve. I would say that the thing that makes him interesting is his spontaneity. He tends to do things that are out of no where. I remember I went to play video games at his house and he said, "I'm going out for a jog." A few minutes later he comes back with two large pizzas saying he heard everyones stomach growl all the way to Walker street. I was laughing so hard at this. He is also interesting because he always has something to say about everything. You can bring up the most ridiculous and unpredictable topic and he will have something to say. My cousin is also interesting because he can seriously lend an ear, I have told him many times that he should consider becoming an office therapist instead of a physical therapist. So I would say my cousin is pretty darn intersting.

My Anti Drug
I would say I have three anti drugs: sleeping, video games and music. Any time I need a breather or any type of relaxation I do either of these three, sometimes I do all of them. I always do this nearly every day. There is something about sleeping when you feel like you've had a bad and tiring day I always feel like I wake up a new person when I use this anti drug. However, if this does not work I will listen to music while I try and relax as I lay on my bed. Music is probably my number one anti drug. Always. I enjoy myself to the fullest when I listen to my favorite music because it makes me forget my troubles temporarily. If I'm feeling bored I usually turn on my DS and begin playing video games in order to distract myself. It kind of takes me to a different world and puts me in a different situation so it is always pretty relaxing.

An Inconvenient Truth
I became increasingly aware of the fact that there has been drastic climate changes throughout the course of 50/60 years. I also learned that mankind has caused the weather changes that have happened, and I agree. An Inconvenient Truth helped me understand that if we do not take action as soon as possible our future generations will suffer the consequences of our ignorance. Something that caught my attention in the film was the fact that the United States of America is the greatest contributor to global warming in the entire world. What also caught my attention was that the cars that the US makes are not allowed in any other countries because they do not meet the eco friendly standards that the entire world has. I came to the realization that the United States of America is not attempting to partake in trying to help decrease global warming in some way, and in all honesty that makes me embarrassed to be an American. I began to ask myself similar question to that of the speaker in An Inconvenient Truth, how can a county that was able to liberate itself from another and built its own government not willing to join other countries in trying to decrease global warming? I strongly believe that we must do something about this because we don't want to be like the frog that can't help itself and needs rescuing. You must begin by making some life changes that will help get rid of global warming. You must be the change you want to see in the world. If your country does not do it then we as individuals should rise against that and make some changes.
