Beginning.....End

A movie that I believe has a good ending is Avatar. This ending was brilliant because it leaves the audience craving more. It also implies that there will be a second part to the movie, which there will be. We see the main character's, Jake, Avatar connected to the tree of Eywa, and Jake being carried to get connected to the tree as well. They are in the process of transferring Jake and his soul into this Avatar so he can live as an Avatar forever. At the end we see an extreme close up of the Avatar opening his eyes.

My Film Job

I would enjoy being a director. From  my perspective being a director allows you to put something of what you are into the film. Creativity plays a major role in being a director since you have allow your creativity to flow in order to make the film better. I would like to be a director because it allows you to guide everyone on your team into making what you may think make a better film.

Conflict

The conflict Avatar has is between the natives of Pandora, one of Jupiter's moons, and the United States. The United States invades this moon in order to obtain a precious rock that goes for 2 million per kilogram, however, in doing this they are planning to destroy one of the most sacred places that belong to the Navi people. Once the natives of this planet become aware of this they begin to form an alliance with other natives of the moon in order to defeat the aliens.

My sister has a co-worker that she always has problems with. She always tells me that when they have to work in groups the girl always wants to do the work herself just to kiss butt. The recent argument they had was about a group project. Apparently my sister's co-worker did the stuff that my sister had to do and this really pissed her off. She told me she confronted her co-worker and told her, "Sarah. You need to stop doing other people's work that is why we were assigned different things to do! You had to stick to your thing not go around and do mine."

This would become a well-made film that has conflict because we can make it as if two co-workers are having issues. One character would keep quiet, while the other tries to kiss butt by doing all the work. Tension begins to increase and the quiet one starts to build up anger throughout the film. Finally there is a huge argument and conflict arises. 

My Name Is John Merrick

Mr. Bates got spit at today by people when i fell off the stage out of exhaustion, he became furious because of this. Mr. Bates always drinks to the point of being drunk when he gets that way. I was in the little cart with the boy, while Bates was outside drinking by the fire.  I was anxious and waiting for him to take thing out on me and beat me with his stick, but he did not. He dragged me out of the cart as the boy was telling him to leave me alone. I was surprised he put me in an animal's cage right next to the baboons, and locked me in there. I saw how he knocked the poor kid off his feet when he passed next to him. I sat in the cage remembering what great times I had at the  hospital and how everyone was friendly to me, but as soon as I had a place to call home Bates brought me to France to become, once again, a miserable person. I saw the freaks approach the cage and they opened it. I saw the gigantic man reach out to get me out and without hesitation I reached out and grabbed on to him. I was ready to escape. I was sad to see that the little boy did not join me. I did not want him to stay with such a drunk and cruel man like Mr. Bates.

Welcome To My Nightmare

I have a phobia of swimming in the ocean so this nightmare I had was probably one of the scariest. I woke up to my mom shaking me telling me the world was going to end that we had to leave and go to a safe place. I remember somehow getting into the car and heading to this hill by the ocean. There was a gigantic bubble that people were going into and it kept closing little by little. When we got there I realized that my father and my dogs were not with me and I panicked and told my mom she was crazy and why did she choose to leave without my dad and the dogs. I remember turning to my sister and telling her we had to go get my dad and the dogs. I felt my heart drop when she tells me "Dad is dead." I cry uncontrollably and tell her we have to get the dogs. She then took me by the hand and drags me to the shore and tells me home is that way, as she points at the open ocean. She goes in and starts swimming straight. I was there looking at the water that kept trying to drag me in. I panic and scream at my sister to come back that I'm scared. I somehow manage to get into the water and start swimming. I start looking all around me and all i see is the ocean. I feel something grab my feet and take me deep into the ocean.

Compassionate Science

I highly admire those people that use what they learn about science to help the world become a better place. I admire their commitment, but what i admire the most is their willingness to care about the matter and take action. From my perspective it is extremely significant to use science to help people by making their life a bit simpler. Science is something me must have faith in. We must believe, to some extent, science can aid us greatly throughout our lives and other people's too. It would make me a proud human being if I were able to take part in some type of compassionate science, yet at the moment I do not have the tools and knowledge that are necessary to achieve this. I hope that one day I have everything I can possibly have to help this world be a slightly better place. I hope I can ease someone's mind and make them happy, even if it is just a bit.

The Future

Some people say that the future will be better. I beg to differ. I strongly believe that this world is slowly heading towards destruction. You look around and you see your country, which is probably on of the best ones in the world, there is people living in poverty, people killing others including their family, you see people suffering from illnesses that are sometimes not curable, you see people being selfish and just thinking of themselves. You see what is suppose to be a great government corrupting its people. You see  families falling apart and not communicating. You see a lack of morality. You see kids cursing their parents. You see partners cheating on each other. You see animal cruelty. You see nature being destroyed. Is it getting better? Is it really? We are the future and we probably are messing it up in a way. Nothing will get better from here on out. I won't be surprised if this world ends soon, I really won't.

One time I laughed really, really hard!

I am a weird person so I laugh really really hard at most awkward things or even things that are not really funny. I remember one time me and my cousin were messaging through Facebook and he had seen my friend's boyfriend that day. He then told me that the guy mad dogged him and that he wanted to tell him stuff, he was just kidding though. I told him to shut up and pick on someone his own size, since my cousin is short compared to my friend's boyfriend. He then told me "Nah! I'll just wrap his Dumbo-size ears around his face. He'll probably get so scared he'll fly away with them" I laughed so hard at that, that I started crying, which rarely happens to me. There was also this other time that my cousin told me " Food is boob" and I was like What?! and then afterwards he said he meant to put "bomb" and I do not know why I laughed my butt off at that message.

Modern Times

I think that Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin was a great movie. I noticed it showed a lot of what was happening during that time, 1936. This movie shows technology, poverty, law and comedy. Charlie Chaplin puts scenes in the movie which show how technology in the future was going to be and every time these scenes are seen they bring a type of negative feeling. Poverty is also a main thing that is seen in this movie and I believe it is due to the fact that when the movie came out the Great Depression was going on. Law, police officers, are seen arrest Chaplin multiple times for causes that were not his fault. Comedy was put in to this film to bring the audience some sort of happiness. Towards the end he tells the girl, which I believe is actually directed to the audience, to just smile. He is trying to tell the audience that tough times will present themselves in the future, yet you just have to smile and continue your journey in life.

My thoughts on bullying

I think bullying scars you for life especially when it is done when you are just a kid. I was a victim of bullying when I was in elementary school. Many girls would make fun of me because my body matured quicker than others. I remember this one time the group of girls cornered me and began pulling my hair and touching my chest. I have to say that to this day I still have some emotional scarring. If you are or were a victim of bullying you know how difficult it is to go to school everyday being frightened of be physically and emotionally hurt. I do not think bullying is a huge problem at Bell High School and I'm hoping it is not and will ever be. I am aware that at other high schools there is bullying whether it is cyber, verbal or physical. If you think or know you are a bully please try and stop because you and I both know that bullying leads to other people's suicide and you do not want that in your conscience.

My Favorite Movie

One of my favorite movies would be Avatar. If you do not know this movie it the one with the huge blue cat-looking aliens. I like this movie because it was interesting and well-made. The 3-D effects were awesome and everything was colorful. I really liked that the Navi people were speaking their own language. What impressed me even more was that this language was actually made up by some of the crew that helped create the movie. I was equally impressed with the face and body movements of the avatars.
